Aims and Objectives
We need every positive and productive means in reaching out to the teenagers, if indeed we want a better future for the nation and our various homes. Below are our aims and objectives:
Leadership Development: Equip teenagers with leadership and decision-making skills to prepare them for future responsibilities.
Social Advocacy: Raising awareness on social vices, prevention of abuse, and youth empowerment.
Education Support: Provide academic and skill-based opportunities for teenagers, ensuring equal access to resources and mentorship.
Victim Assistance: Offer counselling, financial aid, and medical support to teenagers affected by abuse or neglect.
Community Outreach: Extend support to orphanages, correctional centers, and remand homes, ensuring the nurturing of all teenagers.
Engagement Platforms: Create safe spaces for dialogue, mentorship, and growth, Such as Just Girls, Boys Only, School Tour, Grassroots Tour, media engagement, and Tweenie programs
Convener
Modupe Joel is the president of TEENS’ DREAM INITIATIVE; a non-governmental organization for teenagers. Modupe has been passionately working with teenagers for the past 17 years. Her mission is to breed morally balanced, spiritually inclined and stout-hearted teenagers who would live to fulfill purpose and rule to make the world a better place for all. She inspires, educates, empowers, defends and affects today’s teenagers positively through teachings, seminars, trainings, conferences, counselling, and empowerment programmes.
Modupe is a woman of many parts. She is a teacher, counselor, life coach, writer and journalist. She is a renowned speaker at teenagers’ outreaches, youth conferences and singles’ forums. She is the visionary and presenter of the programme Tomorrow speaks: an evening with Modupe Joel’ a radio show for teens, 20s, parents, teachers and counsellors. She is also a music minister. She is the producer of the song titled RISE UP (a call for every teenager to arise and be determined to do what is right especially when they assume positions of leadership and when power gets into their hands). She is a playwright and producer; she has produced a short play titled ‘Brunt’ (a moral lesson for all teenagers). She has authored nine books; Teen Girl, Teen Boy, Captured, Teen Quest, Praying Child, Child Sexuality, Parents, Teachers & Counsellors, Shameful Performance and Radiant.
She has a B.A and M.A in English and Literature in English at the University of Ilorin. Presently, she is the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency, Mr Kayode Alabi. Modupe and her husband Leke are doing well in their ministry. They are blessed with godly children.
